Day 1

Arrival (CMB) – Sigiriya

Welcome to Sri Lanka, the “Pearl of the Indian Ocean”! On arrival at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport, meet your private chauffeur-guide and be driven to Sigiriya(approx. 2.25 hrs drive).
Today’s activities depend on the arrival time to Sri Lanka, start your Sigiriya trip with a visit to the 5th-century legendary sky citadel of “Lion Rock” – the Landmark of this country, also the highlight of your cultural triangle tour; although a steep climb is requested, the story behind the monument and the panoramic view of Dambulla seen on the top is definitely worth the effort.
In the afternoon, continue your exploration in the rural village of Hiriwadunna. Travel into the lush Sri Lankan countryside by a jeep or a Tuk Tuk. Hop into a bullock cart alongside paddy fields and rural vegetable plantations. At dusk, take a boat ride and sail to the other side of a lake, enjoying the fantastic sunset view, and looking out for birds, butterflies, as well as the villagers fishing or washing clothes at the periphery of the lake.

Day 2

Sigiriya – Kandy

After early breakfast leave to Kandy, En route visit famous Dambulla Cave Temple, home to many magnificent Buddha images and rock painting dating back to 2nd century BC. Then head for Ceylon’s old capital of Kandy, en route stop for an interesting visit to learn a wide range of spices at one of the spice gardens.
After arriving in Kandy (approx. 3.5 hrs by road), appreciate a vivid and traditional cultural dance (Kandyan Dance) before walking to the nearby Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic – Sri Lanka’s most sacred Buddhist shrine, the Puja Ritual held in the temple with all the fanfare, drums, trumpets, and brightly colored Monks definitely shows you how special and spiritually important the temple means to Sri Lanka.

Day 3

Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

Have a refreshing early breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Nuwara Eliya, en route you will visit the main attractions of the town which include the golf course, trout streams, Victoria Park, and boating or fishing on Lake Gregory, you can also visit a working tea factory where the slow-growing tea bushes of this highland region produce some of the world’s finest Orange Pekoe tea. You can also add Sita Eliya (Seetha), Haggala Gardens and famous Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Seetha Eliya is a temple which was mentioned in the famous epic Ramayana. Haggala is a temperate hill-country garden where languid low-country lotus and water lily float in their serene loveliness. Peradeniya Botanical Gardens is a paradise for nature lovers. This beautiful flower Eden is restored with over 300 different varieties of orchids, other spices, medicinal plants and Palm trees. Every year more than 1.2 million people are enchanted by the beauty of these 147 acre flower gardens. (Entrance fees to sites not included)

Day 4

Nuwara Eliya

Today after breakfast you will be taken on an exclusive tour of nearby Horton Plains which is home to a stunning list of birds and beasts. The perfect retreat for nature lovers, Horton Plains offers an unparalleled look at some of the most exotic endemic, migratory and resident birds in Sri Lanka. It is also populated by sambar deer, monkeys and elk. This is your chance to add a little adventure into the mix with a nature trail like no other. Rest of the day is at your leisure in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 5

Nuwara Eliya – Udawalawe

After Breakfast, you will be taking a train ride up to Ella from the Nanu Oya station (train ride depends on schedule). From Ella you will meet your same Dream Lanka tour Chauffeur and transfer to Udawalawe (2 hour drive). Depend on arrival time we can arrange Udawalawe Safari or rest of the day is at your leisure in Udawalawe.

Day 6

Udawalawe – Bentota/Beruwala

Have a refreshing early breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Bentota, the city of the golden beaches welcomes you for unwinding by its sandy shores and swimming in the clear waters. Enjoy a boat ride along River Madu that takes you on a scenic tour around beautiful islets, forested with lush mangroves. Visit the Turtle Hatchery – a prime turtle nesting site which was opened by the Wildlife Protection Society in 1981. You will get to see many newborn turtle hatchlings that are fed well and when 2-4 days old, are released into the sea (entrance fees to sites are not included). Return to the hotel in Bentota.

Depend on departure schedule you will take early breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed to Airport (CMB) or if you have late departure we can arrange sightseeing activities.
