Day 1

Arrival (CMB) – Negombo

Welcome to Sri Lanka, the “Pearl of the Indian Ocean”! On arrival at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport, meet your private chauffeur-guide and be driven to your hotel in Negombo, a seaside town which is only 20 minutes away from the airport. Rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 2

Negombo – Knuckles

In the morning, start your exploration of Negombo, this historical commercial center surrounded by a fascinating network of canals teeming with rural life. Wake up early and catch the action at the Negombo fish market. Afternoon (approx. 4.5 hrs drive) you will be taken to the heart of its gorgeous hill country where breathtaking mountains and beautiful waterfalls are aplenty. Surrounded by the awe-inspiring Knuckles mountain range, check in to the hotel where you can relax and enjoy a few days in the cool and cosy climate of the Knuckles hills.

Knuckles

Today you have the whole day to explore the beautiful hill country of Sri Lanka. Take a romantic walk into the fantastical forests that surround these areas to catch a glimpse at the host of exotic birds and mammals that live here. You could even take a bike ride along some of the popular forest paths to create your own romantic adventure in the hills.

Day 4

Knuckles

You have another day dedicated to relaxing before you leave this mountainous haven. Spend your day lounging in the bungalow midst the beautiful scenery or head out again to do more exploring. Visit the mini World’s End or learn more about traditional Sri Lanka with a visit to the Meemure village.

Day 5

Knuckles – Kandy

In the morning after breakfast, you will be taken to Sri Lanka’s hill capital Kandy (approx. 2 hrs drive). Rooted deeply in Buddhism and history, Kandy offers some of the most beautiful cultural experiences available in the country, appreciate a vivid and traditional cultural dance (Kandyan Dance) before walking to the nearby Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic – Sri Lanka’s most sacred Buddhist shrine, the Puja Ritual held in the temple with all the fanfare, drums, trumpets, and brightly colored Monks definitely shows you how special and spiritually important the temple means to Sri Lanka. Rest of the day is at your leisure or evening you can witness a traditional cultural dance show.

Kandy

This day has been set aside for you to explore Kandy city and get a better understanding of its culture and tradition. Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, which is said to house the tooth of Lord Buddha, and explore the charming botanical gardens in Peradeniya. You will even be able to catch a tour of the tea museum.

Kandy

Today set aside once again for total relaxation. Explore your surrounding at your leisure or spend the day at the hotel making use of all the recreational activities it offers. Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

Nuwara Eliya

Day 10

Nuwara Eliya

After Breakfast you will visit the main attractions of the town which include the golf course, trout streams, Victoria Park, and boating or fishing on Lake Gregory. You can also visit a working tea factory where the slow-growing tea bushes of this highland region produce some of the world’s finest Orange Pekoe tea. You can also add Sita Eliya (Seetha) and Haggala Gardens. Seetha Eliya is a temple which was mentioned in the famous epic Ramayana. Haggala is a temperate hill-country garden where languid low-country lotus and water lily float in their serene loveliness,

Day 11

Nuwara Eliya – Ella

After Breakfast, you will be taking a romantic train ride up to Ella from the Nanu Oya station (train ride depend on schedule). From Ella you will meet your same Dream Lanka tour Chauffeur and transfer to the hotel, rest of the day is at your leisure.

A relaxed day where you will be able to go on a short excursion to visit some of the popular tourist sites in Ella. This includes the Little Adam’s Peak, the Halpewatte tea factory and the grand Ravana Ella Falls. You will also be able to see the breathtaking Ella Gap waterfall and stand on the Ella Rock before heading back to the hotel.
